EPD Extension Kit Gen 3

EPD Extension Kit Generation 3 (EXT3/EXT3-1/EXT3-2 Kit) is an E-Paper Display (EPD) extension board that connects to your product or Evaluation Kit (EVK) to kick-start developing low-power display applications. This is also our recommended EPD extension kit if you are new to working with EPD development, and it is designed to make the process as straightforward as possible.

There are three versions of EXT3 kit:

• EXT3-2 (active): EPD Extension Kit Generation 3 revision 2, is released in May 2026.
• EXT3-1 (active): EPD Extension Kit Generation 3 revision 1, is released in 2022.
• EXT3 (EoL): EPD Extension Kit Generation 3, was released in 2020.

• Support driving E Ink E-Paper displays made by Pervasive Displays for the full range of EPDs, except 9.7″ and 12″ (as two FPCs, you can choose EXT3-1 Giant kit).
• On board driving circuit as a starter kit to easily develop EPD application with your product
• On board 10-pin of 90 degrees header with provided 10-pin of bridging colored cable easily to connect with any development board (EVK)
• A variety of expansion options to meet your development needs and use cases
• Open driving source code and design resources
• The difference between EXT3-1 and EXT3-2 boards:
  • The EXT3-2 has a smaller form factor than the EXT3-1 board
  • EXT3-2 provides a V_Ctrol pin to control EPD power supply (cut off Vcc on demand)
  • No standalone Flash chip on EXT3-2 board
  • EXT3-2 board has no 34-pin FCC to connect with connector board for 9.7″ above (2 FPCs)
